I just finished rereading this. I do love this book, which surprised me a bit. Normally I'm not a big fan of books that have a strong religious undertone. But this book was great. Enoch Cain has to be the funniest villain ever. DK had me laughing so hard at certain parts (“Pride pumped through his chilled cajones” is about the greatest line of any book). I was also crying at different parts. Whatever emotion I was displaying throughout the book was because it was an overall well written novel. I definitely liked this book better the second time I read it, there is a lot to take in. Truly one of the best novels ever written.

I just bought and re-read this book. I always remembered that I liked this book, but I forgot just how good it really was. I love a good conspiracy, if it is written properly and this one was! This book has so many possibilities that it keeps you guessing. I hadn't guessed the ending though-which I will not reveal.

The main character of this book is named Susan Thornton. I really liked her not only because she has the DK lady spunk, but because she portrays independence. Novels with the same helpless female roles get old. I like the fact that she could not stand the thought of being paralyzed, not because of how it would leave her, but because she would have to depend on others.

Even now that I remember the ending, I will read this book again, because even though the book has its mysteries, it has a great story to back it up.

I loved this book. It was so fast paced it didn't give you time to think about if you believed what was going on or not. I loved all of the characters. There were two classic Koontz kids in this that were very cute and I felt for them. The adults in the book were very likable as well. I loved the mental image I got from the demons. Koontz seemed to answer the age old question, proving that size doesn't matter (at least when it comes to scary goblin guys)!

This book is like The Godfather meets Gremlins and it was great.
